As long as starfighters have sparred in the vacuum of space, there have been those who have pushed the limits of their machines to perform daring, unpredictable, and often ill-advised feats of speed and grace. Most of these intrepid daredevils lived short lives that ended in fireballs or suffocation in the void, but for every hundred hotshots who tore their ships apart attempting a Devil’s Corkscrew, there is a heroic ace who pulled it off under spectacular circumstances and secured their place in the history databanks.

The ACT Manual is an expansion to the fighter combat rules found in Hotshots.

In this manual are:

  • 10 advanced high risk, high reward maneuvers for hotshots to use in combat
  • Additional rules for ships going careening, using all of your systems in combat, and using resilience in combat
  • Specialized gear to give pilots an edge in a dogfight
  • Two brand new ships designed to be used with the rules in this manual
  • Secrets?

The ACT Manual is a rules supplement for the roleplaying game Hotshots. You will need that game to use this supplement. Hotshots is a game all about starfighters! Race them! Fight in them! Go on dungeon crawls with them!

If you need an adventure to try out the rules found in Hotshots and this manual, check out Icarus' Revenge, an adventure that's meant to kill you at least once, and Sleeping in those Molten Caverns, a space fantasy dungeon crawl through a moon to kill the Fairy Eater.

The primary PDF for this manual contains hidden content (which might have a minor impact on readability). The EPUB and the "No Code" PDF provide the main text without the hidden content.
