Against the Insufferable Bears
A downloadable adventure
In the heart of the desert is a legendary Blue Grove, what should be an oasis not just from scalding sands but from the bleak post-apocalypse.
But this oasis is under threat. Bearoars are terrorizing the Blue Grove and the squirrels that call it home. Will your scurry be able to stop their destruction? What secrets will they discover, bonds will they form, and risks will they take?
Against the Insufferable Bears is an adventure for No Nut November: Squirrels of the Post-Apocalypse, and the first adventure written by Mitchell Daily (creator of NNN). It features four unique bearoars with complex habits and five other new creatures from the Blue Grove and the surrounding desert.
Nibbles Fangslayer is an NPC in this adventure, but I included a character sheet in case someone wants to play as the rattlesnake-killing rock squirrel.
It was created for the Random Adventure Jam. The title was generated by the Adventure Title Generator from Loot the Room.

Against The Insufferable Bears is an adventure for No Nut November. And if you haven't read No Nut November (Squirrels Of The Post Apocalypse,) you should absolutely check it out.
The PDF for Bears is 17 pages. It's well organized and relatively easy to read, and there's a lot of thematically appropriate art.
Content-wise, the adventure takes place in a biodome in the middle of the desert. There's an optional desert crawl that adds water as a valuable resource, a bunch of new monsters, a community of squirrels that can be politicked and traded with, several mysteries to unravel, and multiple hostile bears that can be misdirected or fought.
There's a *lot* to do here if the group really digs into diplomacy and the rhythm of life in the squirrel community---or the group can just run this as a one-shot and bulldoze any opposition they encounter. Decompressed, this is probably a 2--5 shot.
Resolving the adventure creates a base of operations for the players, as well as a few unique options for character progression.
Overall, if you want to run No Nut November as a short campaign or you want to springboard a group into a longer running game, this is definitely the place to start. It's got a compelling setting, a ton of fleshed out NPCs, and plenty for the party to do that'll have a lasting effect on the gameworld.
