Tenants of Eous

  • Bring warmth and light to those in darkness.
  • Sow life in fields of death.
  • Let the merciless and cruel know your burn.
  • When struck down, rise.

You are an Eousi (Ey-oh-see), an immortal(?) servant of the sun, a defender of the natural balance of death and new life in the galaxy, and a worshiper and drinker of the blood of Eous, a being who dies in a supernova and is reborn in the formation of a new star.

This bond to Eous has granted you great power with which you push back against forces that seek to control and mold the galaxy, especially the Holy Space Empire.

Eousi was created for the Hack It! 3d6D TTRPG Jam and was made using the 3d6D SRD from Lucky Newt Games.

How many players does this game support? What is the average game time?

(1 edit)

Like other traditionally-structured adventure RPGs, it could work with 2 up to a very large number of players. I think it works best with 3-5 players (including the game master) but maybe  handles 1-on-1 play better than some other trad games.

It’s built for campaign play, which could be any number or sessions lasting 1-4 hours each. You probably need 2.5-4 hours for a satisfying one-shot featuring multiple characters.

(+1)

This game has the feel of a full race book from one of the much larger games I play, complete with plot hooks, unique creatures and encounters, and culture. It can easily be a stand alone without feeling like a player is missing anything, used in a larger game as a supplement, or in addition to Hotshots. It helps that the Eousi are absolutely intriguing, and I really like how you introduced combat to the 3d6D system.
