21 cards tell the evocative story of a classic hero's journey in this card-based solo TTRPG. The mechanics and language expertly complement each other to create a thought-provoking story generator. This one's worth highlighting to explore as part of a larger bundle.
FYI: Been highlighting Solo But Not Alone bundle entrants on my Twitter thread. https://twitter.com/RabbitMatchGame/status/1618406415277903880 If I had more characters, I'd continue talking about the strengths of the mechanics and your attention to the non-storytelling elements of the game.
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll put that on my to-do list.
What is the game about? Is it a town generator? The description doesn't tell you what you're writing.
It’s an adventure game. Most of the game is devoted to the journey to retrieve a fabled red flower for your community.
It begins with drawing cards to create your home (the part that could be a town generator) and your forager. The journey sees you lean on the things you learned from your home. Your relationship to places and people back home will also likely change as you travel and overcome challenges.
