Wasp Update + Let's Talk Difficulty


UPDATE: I added a little bit to the Wasp ship to clarify/limit how the Swarm feature can be used. The updated text is closer to the original intention.

UNRELATED DISCUSSION: I played around with upping the target difficulty for a basic check to 15, using some dice calculators to look at probability. I decided against it. With a d4 system, you would need a +2 attribute to get a better than 50% chance at success. I think with high consequences of failure and opposed checks the game is still plenty dangerous. I didn't want it to venture into frustratingly difficult territory.

And, 14 honestly felt pretty good in playtests. But, if you are craving a harder game, bump it up to 15. Heck, make it 16 and bump any damage up by 2 if you really want a hardcore starfighter experience. I'm not going to come into your game and tell you you're wrong.
